Family Coat of Arms
The
present coat of arms belongs to the Kumistavi-Tskaltubo branch of
Mikaberidzes. Nobles in the Kingdom of Imereti (western
Georgia), Mikaberidze, and eleven other noble families, were united in a special group known as "the Men of the Oath" ("Fitsis Katsebi"). These
nobles served as the guardians of the Royal authority and held certain privileges at the
royal court.
